Please note: All parties involved in the dispute are required to attend before any verdict is issued. The Council will try its utmost best to conclude the case within the first session. However, some complex cases may require further sessions (with additional fees - a quote will be provided after the first session). In some cases, the Council may not be able to provide a solution, due to the information presented or other external factors. More information on fees

    • How do I book?

    • How long is a session?
      • Generally, the sessions can last up to an hour; however, duration may differ, depending on the service that is selected.
    • How long is the khula Process?
      • The duration of Khula cases can differ depending on the circumstances. Data shows that on average, they can last 6 -12 months  
    • I can’t be in the same room as the other party, can we still come to ICE?
      • In most cases, for reconciliation to take place, the presence of all parties is mandatory. However exceptions can be made where warranted and applicable.
    • Is there a Fee for the session(s)?
      • Yes. All fees are outlined <here>
    • Can I block book multiple sessions?
      • Yes, you can. However, we strongly advise that you book one session first and consult your case adviser before booking multiple sessions.
    • Can I pay for my session on the day?
      • No. All payments must be made at least 48 hours prior to your session, otherwise the sessions may be cancelled.
    • Can I cancel my appointment?
      • Yes. Please review our <cancellation policy>
    • Do you offer legal advice?
      • No, the advice imparted by the advisor(s) is not legally-binding.
    • Is my case confidential?
      • We are GDPR compliant and beyond. We treat all data as an amaanah (trust), so your details are safe.
    • Is ICE only based in London?
      • The Council operates worldwide; however, the services we offer may differ depending on location.
    • Do I need to prep before my session?
      • Yes. Please read the <appointment guidelines> before attending a session.
    • Can I talk to someone before booking a session?
